ERGONOMICS – BARREL SAUNA COMFORT
Bathing comfort is essential when investing in an outdoor sauna barrel. The diameter of the barrel and the bench/backrest configuration must be considered. Smaller diameter barrels may be priced lower due to reduced materials, but they come with tradeoffs such as door height, bench comfort, and headroom. Tighter arcs can affect seating posture, standing comfort, and require ducking when entering or exiting.
ERGO Series Sauna Barrels feature a 6’5” interior height. The large diameter allows ergonomically contoured, form-fitting benches and an expansive arched backrest that provides true lumbar support. The knot-free, silky-smooth grade-A Thermo-Aspen seating is designed to comfortably support most body sizes.

The Model E7G features bronzed, full-height, tempered glass sidelight windows that, combined with the matching tempered glass door, create a full glass front wall. Thermo-Spruce lasts up to 2X longer than Cedar wood. Every SaunaLife barrel begins with industry-leading 1.65” thick full-length staves that form a durable enclosure with excellent thermal resistance (R-value). This chemical-free, eco-friendly wood is dimensionally stable and ideal for outdoor saunas.
Wood thickness is a defining feature of the SaunaLife ERGO Series, with ergonomically crafted benches and backrests made from Thermo-Aspen (1.1” thick and 3-1/2” wide), nearly 50% thicker than most alternatives.
INGENUITY – ENGINEERED TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS
Despite its simple design, the ERGO-Series is packed with barrel sauna innovation. The structure uses industry-leading 1-7/8” wide and 1/8” thick stainless steel barrel bands that compress the staves to form a secure wellness retreat.
A watertight DIY shingle roof kit with side-mounted drip edges ensures excellent rainwater management. Inside, dual floor drains are included—one positioned under the sauna heater and another near the door for managing cold plunge or pool water. These drains help maintain performance even if the barrel shifts out of level.
ILLUMINATION – INSIDE AND OUT
Lighting enhances both ambiance and the natural beauty of the wood. SaunaLife uses low-voltage, waterproof LED lighting with Wi-Fi app control, allowing users to set the ideal scene before entering. A handheld remote control is included for on/off/dim operation.
The LED system is IP67-rated, dotless for an even glow, and heat- and water-certified. It is expandable up to four white fixtures and can be paired with E SCONCE+ exterior sconces and E MOOD lighting for enhanced ambiance and color effects.

SaunaLife uses premium Nordic Spruce, dried to a rich golden tone that highlights its natural grain and rustic tight-knot character. The interior features ultra-smooth Thermo-Aspen benches and backrests, free from knots and rich in color.
